In a ceremony, which will take place at the Anuga in Cologne on October 9, 2005, Mr. Bob Prakken will receive the Golden Ice Crystal Pioneering Achievement Award.

Established in 1997, the Golden Ice Crystal honors the innovative achievements of successful entrepreneurs in the frozen food industry as well as inventors and designers of processing and packaging systems that have greatly increased production efficiencies and product quality.

Up until now, only nine especially remarkable persons have received the award. Among them are such luminaries as Harrison McCain of McCain Foods, Paul Haspeslagh of Ardo, Gerrit de Bruijne of Farm Frites, Per-Oskar Persson of Frigoscandia, Andre Dejonghe of Pinguin, Dirk Ahlers of FRoSTA, Karl Dusterberg of apetito, Ernst Wagner of Wagner Tiefkuhlprodukte, and Volkmar Frenzel of Frenzel Tiefkuhlkost.
