 COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VA - May 1, 2000 - BluePrint Automation presents The "Smart-Trak", a positive and high-speed collation system designed to group individual products at speeds up to 300 products per minute. The Smart-Trak combines the best of continuous motion and intermittent motion technology into one system allowing for more flexibility than can be achieved in dedicated systems. Product is grouped into pockets in an indexing manner on demand. When a complete group is formed it moves in a continuous motion to the pick-up point. Once at the pick-up, point the entire group stops for transfer to the next point. After the transfer occurs, the entire group of pockets moves in a continuous motion to the point of accepting new product.
The Smart-Trak incorporates a unique cantilevered design that allows for extremely quick changeover and low maintenance. It is ideal for Case Packing of small flexible bags at high speeds, Robotic Cartoning of small over-wrapped products and Case Packing of irregularly shaped packages that require the support of individual holding bins. In comparison to other collation systems, the BluePrint Automation Smart-Trak allows for more flexibility, requires less maintenance and requires minimal changeover time.
